... stressed that terrorism, in whatever form, cannot be tolerated... "Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Yudhoyono has convoyed condolences to British Prime Minister David Cameron over the despicable murder of British soldier Lee Rigby who was attacked on the street South London.
According to an official statement posted on social network @SKPBidangHI belonging to the office of Presidential Special Staff for International Affairs Teuku Faizasyah, the president conveyed the condolences when he received a phone call at his Cikeas private residence from Prime Minister David Cameron on Friday.
President Yudhoyono's official web site also confirmed he had received the telephone call at his private residence in Cikeas Indah, Bogor, West Java.
Cameron communicated with Yudhoyono to discuss preparations for the submission of the draft Post-2015 Development Agenda which was formulated by the United Nation's High Level Panel to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon at the UN Headquarters in New York at the end of this month.
Yudhoyono, Cameron and Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf jointly chair the UN High Level Panel.
Besides conveying condolences, the president also expressed the Indonesian support for the fight against terrorism.
"President Yudhoyono stressed that terrorism, in whatever form, cannot be tolerated. Indonesia will always support cooperation in cracking down on terrorism," the statement said on the social network account.
Lee Rigby was brutally killed in Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich, South London. The attackers raved about the British government`s military involvement in Muslim countries.
