I hope the award could become a momentum for us to continue our efforts in promoting humanity and goodness for all parties."
New York (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono when receiving the World Statesman Award from the Appeal of Conscience Foundation here on Thursday said the award reflected the hard work of all people in Indonesia.

"Statecraft is not always a result of one person. Statecraft could be a collective work. And the statecraft collectivity in the Indonesian community as a whole has made Indonesia more advanced and prosperous," the president said.

The World Statement Award is in fact an award for all Indonesians, he stated.

"I hope the award could become a momentum for us to continue our efforts in promoting humanity and goodness for all parties. Hopefully our hard work and the Indonesian people`s determination could strengthen our endeavor in realizing our founding fathers` dream, namely to create a harmonious community united by peace and welfare," he said.

President Yudhoyono received the World Statement Award presented by Rabbi Arthur Scheneier at an event which was also attended by former US state secretary Henry Kissinger.
