Palu, C. Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - At least two explosions of suicide bombing occurred in Poso District, Central Sulawesi Province at 08.25 am local time on Monday, causing a motorcycle wrecked and claimed a casualty.

"Police has not announced any statement yet relating to the type of bombs, whether it is high or low explosives," said a reliable source to Antara on condition of anonymity.

Police still maintain the location of the explosions that occurred in the yard of Poso Resort Police headquarter without gathering body parts and the motorcycle.

The law institution also temporarily stopped the preliminary investigation in the scene.

The bomber, said several officers in the scene, entered police office through the west gate by riding a black painted motorcycle and wearing jacket as well as helmet.

The police duty officers tried to stop the person but the bomber was keep driving to the police office yard before small and high explosions occurred and shattered the bomber`s body and the motorcycle.

"Police has not known the motorcycle`s license plate as it was shattered and only left the tires," said a witness Sofyan in the scene.

The investigation directly led by Chief of C. Sulawesi Regional Police Brigadier General Ari Dono Sukmanto along with Chief of Poso Resort Police Adjunct Senior Commissioner Eko Susanto.

Brigadier General Sukmanto plans to conduct a press conference at 13.00 pm of local time to the media.

Meanwhile, the condition in Poso region is conducive which is reflected by usual people condition and Poso Central Market activity that located 50 meters from the scene.

However, the officers are still temporarily close the access road ahead of the market and resort police headquarter.

Police also divert the traffic of trans-Sulawesi access road to other way to avoid traffic jam.
