Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) team of RI Police conducted identification effort to the suicide bombing that exploded in the yard of Poso Resort Police Headquarter in Central Sulawesi Province at 08.25 am local time, Monday.

"The DVI team has departed to Poso and Forensic Laboratory Center officers have started their duty to investigate the bomber identity as well as the bomb type," said Public Relation Division Head of RI Police Inspector General Suhardi Alius here, Monday.

The explosion claimed the life and shattered the body of bomber. However, police explained, face part of the executant is not damaged.

Alius expected Police to quickly reveal the bomber`s identity in order to investigate the terrorist network behind the bloody incident.

Chief of C. Sulawesi Regional Police Brigadier General Ari Dono Sukmanto has led preliminary investigation relating to the incident on Monday morning.

Head of Public Relation Division at C. Sulawesi Regional Police Adjunct Senior Commissioner Soemarno said Sukmanto is accompanied by several senior officers of C. Sulawesi Police.

The bomber breached police guard at the headquarter office through the west gate by riding a black painted motorcycle and wearing jacket as well as helmet.

Currently, police still maintain the incident scene and set police line to support investigation effort.

Soemarno said the Police have not identified yet the identity of the bomber as the body was shattered by the explosion.
