Seoul (ANTARA News/Yonhap) - Smartphone use among those in their 20s is the highest compared to other age groups, and the device is the most important tool in their daily lives, a report showed on Tuesday.

According to the report by the state-run Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI), around 94 percent of mobile users in the age group uses smartphones.

Also, the age group regards smartphones as the most important tool in their lives, with around half of those picking the device as the most and frequently used gadget.

Personal computers/laptop computers and TVs came next in terms of usage at 31.2 percent and 15.9 percent, according to the report.

Those in the age group enjoy TV programs, movies and other video clips through their smartphones, with around 11 percent of the age group saying they are cutting back on watching TV and using other conventional tools such as computers, it said.

Around 52 percent of those in their 20s said they reduced the amount of time they spend on computers to use their smartphones more, the report showed.
