YIWU, China, Aug. 26, 2013 (ANTARA/PRNewswire) -- The 19th China Yiwu International Commodities Fair ("Yiwu Fair" for short, http://en.yiwufair.com) will be held from October 21 to 25 in Yiwu, Zhejiang. As the only international fair authorized by the State Council of China in the commodities market, the Yiwu Fair is globally recognized as the second largest exhibition in China, following the Canton Fair.

This year, the fair plans to provide 4,500 standard booths, and cover seven main industries (http://en.yiwufair.com/products): hardware, electronic & electrical appliances, underwear & socks, jewelry & accessories, crafts, daily necessities, sports & recreational articles. It will also establish several special zones for e-business & trade services, overseas commodities, All-China Women's Federation (processing trade oriented) and Shanhai Corporation, to meet international buyers' needs.

The fast growing hardware industry is one of the hottest topics this year. There will be about 818 booths, spanning both halls, for exhibitors from this industry, which is much larger than last year. They will be categorized into four areas: hardware tools, building hardware, daily-use hardware and electrical machinery.

To ensure a better outcome, the organizing committee has dedicated every effort since the beginning. For example, to attract exhibitors, the committee has promoted in many industrial bases and similar exhibitions across China, based on four standards -- specialization, marketization, globalization and branding -- which helps keep regular exhibitors while also attracting new ones. Through continuous promotions in brand exhibitions like China International Hardware Fair and Yongkang Door Industry Exhibition, the committee not only improved the industry recognition of the fair, but also gained attention from many companies and industries.

The committee has established a close relationship with local industry associations (such as Jinhua Tools Industry Association, Zhejiang Solar Energy Industrial Association and Zhejiang Locks Industry Association), from which already booked more than 100 booths each. Such cooperation helps maintain the expertise and improve the influence of the fair.

As the best platform to discuss development trends of various industries, the fair (http://en.yiwufair.com/aboutfair/intro) will hold negotiation and promotional activities of different kinds and different levels, including Jewelry Industry Forum, Trends & New Product Launches, Trade Matching of Overseas Commodities, and Global Procurement Seminars. "We expect more than 200,000 buyers to visit, in which 20,000 will be overseas visitors, based on the data from last year," the organizer said.
