Bekasi, W Java (ANTARA News) - The Bekasi city administration said it has handed over drug case involving three of its employees to police for investigation.

"We have nothing to hide. If they are wrong please process their cases according to law," Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi said here on Wednesday.

Effendi said the city administration has only authority to handle administrative offense.

The three suspects committed no administration offense, he said, adding they are involved in criminal case, therefore, "we hand over their case to police."

He said the city would provide no legal defense for the three suspects charged with drug abuse.

The three are identified by their initials as FS and BD , both staff officials of the urban development service and DL, a staff official of the integrated licensing service agency (BPPT).

The three were picked up by police after consuming methamphetamine at the Family Welfare Development (PKK) Office on Monday.
