Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesian state spending till September 30 this year had touched Rp1,092.7 trillion, accounting for 63.3 percent of the ceiling of Rp1,726.2 trillion set in the revised 2013 state budget, the Finance Ministry said in a press statement on Wednesday.

The state spending consisted of central government spending worth Rp699.1 trillion or 58.4 percent of the ceiling of Rp1,196.8 trillion and transfers to regional governments worth Rp393.6 trillion or 74.4 percent of the ceiling of Rp529.4 trillion, the Ministry's Directorate General of State Treasury pointed out.

The central government's spending comprised of personnel spending worth Rp170.6 trillion or 73.2 percent of the ceiling of Rp233 trillion, goods spending worth Rp83.2 trillion or 40.3 percent of the ceiling of Rp206.5 trillion and capital spending worth Rp72.3 trillion or 37.5 percent of the ceiling of Rp192.6 trillion.

The Ministry noted that state spending on energy subsidies reached Rp211.5 trillion or 70.5 percent of the ceiling of Rp299.8 trillion, consisting of fuel subsidies worth Rp143.1 trillion or 71.6 percent of the ceiling of Rp199.99 trillion and electricity subsidies amounting to Rp68.4 trillion or 68.4 percent of the ceiling of Rp100 trillion.

During the same period, state revenue and grants reached Rp982.2 trillion or 65.4 percent of the target of Rp1,502 trillion, which was made up of domestic revenues worth Rp980.7 trillion or 65.5 percent of the target of Rp1,497.5 trillion and grants worth Rp1.4 trillion or 31.5 percent of the target of Rp4.5 trillion.

The domestic revenues constituted tax receipts worth Rp751.9 trillion or 65.5 percent of the target of Rp1,148.4 trillion and non-tax state revenues worth Rp228.9 trillion or 65.6 percent of the target of Rp349.2 trillion.

The tax receipts consisted of income tax worth Rp357.3 trillion or 66.3 percent of the target of Rp538.8 trillion and value added tax worth Rp261 trillion or 61.6 percent of the target of Rp423,7 trillion.

Non-tax state revenues consisted of receipts from natural resources worth Rp138.4 trillion or 67.9 percent of the target of Rp203.7 trillion and other non-tax state revenues worth Rp45.3 trillion or 53 percent of the target of Rp85.5 trillion.

With the state revenues touching Rp982.2 trillion and state spending amounting to Rp1,092.7 trillion, the budget deficit had reached Rp110.6 trillion or 49.3 percent of the target of Rp224.2 trillion (2.38 percent of the country's gross domestic product), the Ministry pointed out. (*)
