Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Police (Polri) claimed to have rescued Rp915 billion as state asset from corruption suspects in 2013.

"During 2013, Polri had rescued close to Rp915 billion or almost one trillion rupiahs, an increase from Rp201 billion in 2012," National Police Chief General Sutarman stated here on Friday.

This year, the police handled 1,363 corruption cases, up 13.72 percent from 1,176 cases during last year.

Some 906 cases were completed, an increase of 27.48 percent from 249 cases last year.
