Pekanbaru, Riau Province (ANTARA News) - Riau police arrested Eight Bangladeshi nationals, alleged to be illegal immigrants, in Bengkalis district, according Riau police spokesman Adjunct Senior Commissioner Andry Wibowo.

"The alleged illegal immigrants from Bangladesh were arrested at 4 a.m. this morning," Andry noted here on Monday.

He explained that their identities were still unclear since they were still being questioned by the police.

"The police arrested them at an oil palm plantation area at Tanjung Leban village in Bukit Batu sub-district," he pointed out, adding that the police arrested them after getting information about their presence at the plantation area.
