... France`s assistance to Malaysian authorities and to the ongoing international effort."
Paris (ANTARA News/Xinhua-OANA) - France is concerned with the ongoing search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH 370 and confirmed its assistance to Malaysia authorities on this subject, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Sunday (March 16).

Fabius expressed solidarity with Malaysia, saying that France contributed four experts in the searching efforts for the Boeing passenger jet, which, with 239 people on board, vanished en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, during his talks with Malaysian Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman.

He also stressed "the importance that French authorities attached to the onging search and confirmed Frances assistance to Malaysian authorities and to the ongoing international effort," according to a statement issued by French Foreign Ministry.

Earlier Sunday, Frances Bureau of Investigation and Analysis (BEA) said three of its staff members had been sent to Kuala Lumpur to participate in the search, joining the effort of a French technical expert who is already working along with the director of Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency.

Meantime, Frances civil and military satellites are also available for Malaysia for the search, said the Foreign Ministry.

Four French nationals were among the 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board the flight, when it lost contact with Subang Air Traffic Control on March 8.

The multinational search for the missing plane has entered the ninth day as of Sunday.
