The Hague (ANTARA News) - Indonesias Vice President Boediono held talks with Dutch Queen Maxima on Tuesday as part of his week-long visit to the European country.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit held in The Hague from March 24 to 25.

Boediono met Queen Maxima in her capacity as the UN secretary generals special advocate for inclusive finance for development.

"We appreciate Indonesia for its leadership in the Group of Friends of the United Nations and in G20," Queen Maxima said.

She also lauded Indonesia for the progress achieved in the implementation of financial inclusion, although it still had to solve several problems.

Quoting a report of the Working Group of the Post 2015 Development Agenda, the Dutch queen said financial inclusion was one of the goals but a number of problems remained unsolved, particularly with regard to small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs).

Queen Maxima also hoped for Indonesian leadership in financial inclusion in regional and international forums, such as the ASEAN, the APEC and the G20.

Boediono praised Queen Maxima who has dedicated herself to the promotion of financial inclusion, which has inspired the Indonesian government to launch financial inclusion programs.

"Indonesia has taken the initiative to launch a national strategy in the field of financial inclusion. Indonesia will do its best both in the post 2015 Development Agenda and in its capacity as a G20 member," he said.

During the meeting, Boediono was accompanied by Indonesias Ambassador to The Netherlands Retno Marsudi and Director General of Multilateral Affairs at the Foreign Ministry Hasan Kleib.

Boediono arrived in Amsterdam on Sunday morning.

He attended and addressed the two-day summit, which opened on Monday.

The Vice Presidents entourage includes rector of the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Pratikno, acting rector of the University of Indonesia (UI) Muhammad Anis, secretary to Vice President Mohamad Oemar, Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs at the Foreign Ministry/Head of State Protocol Ahmad Rusdi and member of the Vice Presidents strategic study team Abdillah Toha.
