Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The government has set the economic growth target at 5.5 to 6.3 percent in its 2015 work plan, National Development Planning Minister/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Head Armida S Alisjahbana clarified.

"The development target that we will achieve at the end of 2015 is an economic growth rate of 5.5 to 6.3 percent," she stated during the opening of a national development plan meeting here on Wednesday.

Also present at the event were President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Vice President Boediono, ministers, and governors and district heads from all over Indonesia.

The other targets of national development were an inflation rate of 4.5, plus or minus one percent, a poverty rate of 9 to 10 percent, and an unemployment rate of 5.7 to 5.9 percent, she added.

The theme of the 2015 government work plan was continuing reforms to accelerate just economic development, which would be achieved through inclusive development and improved sense of justice, she pointed out.

"The ongoing reforms must continue across all fields, including the political, legal and security sectors, the economic sector and the peoples welfare sector by accelerating comprehensive economic development in all fields and emphasizing the improvement of competitive edge," she explained.

She added that the work plan was drawn up by referring to technocratic draft of the 2015-2019 medium-term development plan and the evaluation of previous medium-term development plan, medium-term strategic issues and theme underlined in the 2005-2025 long-term development plan.
