Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Jokowi-JK duo is preferred by 42.65 percent respondents, while 28.35 percent prefer Prabowo-Hatta pair for Indonesias next president and vice president in the July 9 election, revealed Soegeng Sarjadi School of Government (SSSG)s survey.

SSSG Executive Director Fadjroel Rachman stated here on Thursday that 29 percent of those surveyed are still undecided.

Rachman stated that 56 percent of the people surveyed meanwhile preferred the Prabowo-Hatta campaign slogan of "Indonesia Rise" while 44 percent liked Jokowi-JKs slogan of "Indonesia Great."

"The pair considered capable of overcoming the problems in Indonesia is Jokowi-JK supported by 47 percent of those surveyed. The Prabowo-Hatta duo is only supported by 33 percent on the issue," Fadjroel pointed out.

As per survey results, 47 percent of the respondents considered the Jokowi-JK pair to have a futuristic view while only 21 percent of them shared the same viewpoint about the Prabowo-Hatta duo.

Fadjroel added that 54 percent considered the Prabowo-Hatta pair more straightforward against 35 percent respondents who chose the Jokowi-JK duo.

On which pair is considered more considerate about the people, 52 percent had chosen the Jokowi-JK pair, while 25 percent believe it is the Prabowo-Hatta pair.

Fadjroel said the SSSG survey was done by phone and covered 10 big cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Semarang, Medan, Makassar, Yogyakarta, Palembang, Denpasar, and Balikpapan. The survey was conducted during the period between May 26 and June 4 and had a 95 percent rate of confidence and a 2.78 percent margin of error.

Meanwhile, samples were taken randomly from 1,250 customers, he added.
