Samarinda (ANTARA News) - Indonesia's East Kalimantan Province recorded a decline of 2.56 percent in exports to US$2.34 billion in July from Junes US$2.28 billion.

"Year-on-year the exports in July dropped 7.86 percent," head of the provincial office of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Aden Gultom said here on Monday.

The decline in export earning in July 2014 was attributable to falling oil and gas exports to US$1.03 billion ,down 8.05 percent from US$1.12 billion in June.

Exports of a number of commodities other than oil and gas such as chemicals, precious metals, fertilizer and timber rose.
