Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Jakarta police said they will use force to pick up Habib NV, leader of Islam Defender Front (FPI) for last week rioting at the city council ground.

"There is no good will shown to honor (police) summon," Jakarta police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said here on Sunday.

Rikwanto said police would use force as Habib NV failed to honor polices persuasive appeal.

Hundreds of FPI members protesting the installation of Jakarta vice governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) as new governor, clashed with police in front of the city council.

Police said the FPI was supposed to stage peaceful demonstration but they had come with rocks and other weapons.

At least 10 police officers were injured in the clash with the protesters hurling rocks at the police.

Police already arrested 21 FPI protesters and named them suspects of attacking police guards .

Rikwanto said Habib NV is the coordinator of FPI protesters that rejected popular and outspoken Ahok as new Jakarta governor.

He said police knew the where about of Habib NV but are still hoping for goodwill of one of the FPI top leaders.

Police have also asked other FPI leaders to surrender all other members taking part in the riotous demonstration .
