Jakarta (ANTARA News) - About nine heads of state will attend the inauguration of Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and M. Jusuf Kalla as president and vice president of Indonesia on October 20 at the Peoples Consultative Assembly (MPR) building, Jakarta.

This information was revealed by MPRs Secretary General, Edi Siregar here on Wednesday.

Among the nine heads of state are Brunei Darussalams Sultan Hasanal Bolkiah, Singapores Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Timor Lestes President Xanana Gusmao, Papua New Guineas Governor General Michael Ogio, Malaysias Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak, Haitis Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, Australias Prime Minister Tony Abbot, Thailands Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, and special envoy from Japan, former prime minister Yasuo Fukuda.

"All nine dignitaries have confirmed their attendance," Edi stated.

Apart from the heads of state, the inauguration event will also be attended by ministers from Indonesias partner countries such as the US Secretary of State John Kerry, New Zealands Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully, and the United Kingdoms Foreign Affairs Minister William Hague.
