Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Outgoing President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received president-elect Joko Widodo (Jokowi) here on Sunday for a tour of the State Palace ahead of the latters inauguration as president on Monday.

Jokowi arrived at 4 p.m. and welcomed by President Yudhoyono at Merdeka Palace.

The two then toured the State Palace starting from the Istana Merdeka (Merdeka Palace), the presidential office, Istana Negara (State Palace) to Wisma Negara (State Guest House).

After touring the compound for an hour the two then saw a rehearsal of a farewell-welcome ceremony which is to be held at Merdeka Palace following Jokowis inauguration on Monday.

Jokowi arrived in the company of head of his transition team, Rini Soemarno, team member Andi Widjajanto while President Yudhoyono at the meeting was flanked by coordinating minister for political, security and legal affairs Djoko Suyanto, coordinating minister for economic affairs Chairul Tanjung, defense forces commander General Moeldoko, army, navy and air force chiefs of staff, national police chief General Sutarman cabinet secretary Dipo Alam and minister of tourism and creative economy Mari Elka Pangestu.
