Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpan-RB) has appealed to government institutions to limit their advertisement and publication expenditure.

"The cost for advertisement and publication is usually high. According to the government program to limit expenditure, the cost should be reduced and limited," Head of Bureau of Laws, Communication and Public Information Kemenpan-RB Herman Suryatman stated here on Friday.

For instance, usually three view slots are hired for advertising on television, which can be reduced to only one view slot, he noted.

"The main thing is that the advertisement expenditure should be minimized. It needs the institutions creativity to achieve that," Suryatman emphasized.

He explained that such an effort requires the public relations or governmental staff to simplify the publication process through an efficient financial cost system without deviating from the set goals.

The high cost of advertorial and publication should be reviewed and regulated with a low cost or even a no-charge system, he remarked.

"The appeal to reduce advertorial publication expenditure is based on Circular Letter (SE) No.13/2014 on Simple Life Movement (Gerakan Hidup Sederhana)," Suryatman added.
