Bogor, W Java (ANTARA News) - Fallen tree which occurred in the Bogor Botanical Garden in Bogor city on Sunday, left four persons died and 21 sustained injuries, an official quoted police as saying.

All the fallen-tree victims in the Botanical Garden will receive assistance and compensation respectively from the botanical garden management and a social insurance company Jasa Raharja, Head of the Central Plants Conservation (PKT) of the Bogor Botanical Garden-LIPI (the Indonesian Institute of Sciences) Didik Widyamoko said here on Sunday

"Thus, families of the victims should not worry," Didik announced at the PMI Bogor hospital.

Didik, however, did not give detail of the compensation amount.

Meanwhile, Bogor deputy mayor Usmar Hariman at the location of the natural disaster, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, and promised to help speed up the handling of the victims.

"It is a disaster to us, we have coordinated with management of the botanical garden, PMI hospital and the company (Jasa Raharja). The city government can facilitate what is needed," Usmar explained.

In the meantime, police have examined the disaster and placed the police-line around the site, while the activities in the Garden remained conducive. (*)
