SHENZHEN, China, April 2, 2015 (Antara/PRNewswire) -- Ramos, a well-known China-based tablet manufacturer and Intel's first global tablet partner, has been invited to Intel Solutions Summit 2015 in Dubai on April 27-28. At the event, the company will display its latest Intel-based tablets, including 2-in-1 tablets featuring the Core M processors and tablets based on Bay Trail CR and Sofia-R 3G platforms, as well as its upcoming 7 inch to 11.6 inch line of handsets.

Established in Shenzhen in 2001, Ramos was initially dedicated to R&D and manufacture of digital A/V players. In 2007, the firm designed and manufactured the RM970, a MP4 player which has been the bestseller in China up to now, with cumulative sales of up to 6 million units. It has partnered with Intel since 2012 and subsequently became Intel's first global partner in the tablet segment. In 2014, the firm was recognized for the speed at which its first 100,000 tablets equipped with Intel Clovertrail + SOC chips were sold.

With the increase in consumer spending and the popularity of electronic products, competition is severe in China's tablet market, where Ramos has always been innovative in terms of product appearance and has continuously optimized and improved its manufacturing processes in an ongoing move to enhance product quality. In addition to consumer tablets, Ramos aggressively expanded its line of industry-specific applications in 2014 and successfully tapped into several sectors including finance, education and hospitality. The firm has cooperated with China Unicom, one of the country's major telecom carriers, in many provinces and cities.

In a few months Ramos is planning to roll out its first mobile phone in a move to expand its product line and take advantage of more market opportunities. Relying on its many years' experience in R&D and manufacturing of digital products as well as the technical support it receives from BYD, a leading China-based manufacturer of electric vehicles and batteries and former OEM of Nokia and MOTO mobile phones, the firm has long planned to enter the cellular segment. Ramos has recently started testing a new generation of BYD-produced battery having a 60% higher energy capacity compared to normal batteries. This technology is likely to be applied to Ramos handsets.

Additionally, new offerings from Ramos will be displayed at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) on April 18-21and the booth number is 5A12.
