Mataram (ANTARA News) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana Widodo arrived in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) on Thursday afternoon for a working visit to the province.

The president and his entourage were flown aboard the Presidential Plane from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. The presidential party left the airport at 6:30 p.m.

The journey from Bali to NTB was only 20 minutes long.

Upon his arrival, Jokowi was welcomed at the flight by Governor of NTB Zainul Majdi and other regional officials.

The head of states agenda in NTB includes the inauguration of the NTB campus of the Institute of State Administration on Friday, whereas on Saturday, he is scheduled to officiate the opening of the "Tambora Menyapa Dunia" (Tambor Greets the World) event in Kampasi Meci village of Manggalewa sub-district, Dompu district.

Earlier in the day, President Jokowi attended the opening ceremony of the national congress of the ruling Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) in Bali.
