Bandung (ANTARA News) - The Bandung creative community, who are members of the Tigers and Lions Asia Africa, launched a video series featuring some inspiring young leaders of Asia and Africa on Tuesday.

"This video series will be played for the public daily until the commemoration of the Asian-African Conference (AAC)," Tigers and Lions Asia Africa Founder Ben Irawan stated here on Tuesday.

He noted that the video will rekindle the spirit of the AAC.

"The 1955 AAC presented Nehru, Soekarno, and U Nu to the world stage, and now, the AAC, with all its diversity, has created a lot of individuals who are respected in the world," Irawan stated.

As part of the younger generation, Irawan noted that, through his expertise in the creative industries, he is keen to contribute in the implementation of the AAC.

"We have compiled the names of inspirational figures from Asian and African countries and have picked some of them to be presented in the form of a speed drawing video," he remarked.

The Tigers and Lions Asia Africa has showcased the following figures as part of its speed drawing video:

1. Joko Widodo, the Indonesian president who had emerged as an entrepreneur from Solo.

2. Jack Ma, the founder of Alibabas online business that became a global giant.

3. Muhammad Yunus, the founder of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2006.

4. Iko Uwais, a young man with martial arts skills.

5. Psy, a young Korean who has gained worldwide acclaim through his music video, Gangnam Style.

6. Julie Gichuru, a news anchor and journalist from Kenya.

7. Peter Gontha, the promoter of world class music from Indonesia.

8. Saida Cachalia, who told the heroic story of her father Ismail Ahmad Mauliv Chachalias contribution in the AAC 1955.

9. Former Indonesian President B.J. Habibie.

According to Irawan, the speed drawing video was realized with the help of various parties such as the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Bandung Government.

"The video is made by Amphibi Studio, Alvora Studio, and Bandung creative team," he added.
