Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Inspector General Tito Karnavian was inaugurated as the new chief of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Command replacing Inspector General Unggung Cahyono here on Friday.

The inauguration was led by National Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti.

On the occasion, General Haiti also inaugurated seven other regional police command chiefs including Inspector General Moechgiyarto as the new West Java regional police command chief replacing Inspector General M. Iriawan, and Brigadier General Edward Syah Pernong as the new chief of the Lampung regional police command.

Also Brigadier General Lubihanto as the new chief of the Jambi regional police command, Brigadier General Budi Maryoto as the new chief of the South Kalimantan police command, Brigadier General Fakhrizal as the new chief of the Central Kalimantan police command, and Brigadier General Imam Budi as the new chief of the North Maluku police command.

General Haiti also inaugurated Inspector General Sabar Rajardjo as the national polices human resource assistant, replacing Inspector General Haka Astana.

Inspector General Unggung Cahyono was inaugurated as the national polices operational assistant and Inspector General Arif Wachynadi as the national police chiefs planning assistant.

Inspector General M. Iriawan was named as head of the legal division of the national police command and Brigadier General Machfud Arifin as the IT division head while Brigadier General Raden Budi Winarso was appointed as head of the security and professional affairs division.
