Jakarta (ANATARA News) - The Indonesian government welcomes the agreement between Iran and six world powers on Tehrans nuclear program.

Under the agreement in Vienna on July 14 between Iran and the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany, Tehran economic sanctions would be lifted in exchange for the curbs on its nuclear program.

The Indonesian government sees the agreement as a historic achievement ending 12 years of protracted talks since 2003, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The agreement is expected to to reconfirm the rights of every nation to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purpose as guaranteed by the nuclear non proliferation treaty, the statement said.

The agreement is expected to help create a conducive condition to seek a solution to conflicts and crisis in Middle East, it said.

"The agreement proved the effectiveness of peaceful ways to solve problems in line with the Indonesian position which has always called for diplomacy and dialogs in seeking a solution to problem over Irans nuclear program," it said.

The Indonesian government hopes that those taking part in the agreement would continue with constructive approaches in the implementation of the deal, it said.

Under the a draft version of the nuclear deal, sketched out in preliminary form on April 2, UN inspectors would have access to all suspected Iranian sites, including military ones,a diplomatic source had been quoted as saying.

Tehran has always denied West accusations that Iran had developed nuclear program for military purpose.
