Palembang (ANTARA News) - The Culture and Education Office of South Sumatra Province continues to anticipate the circulation of drugs in schools.
"Our office regularly spreads awareness on the dangers of drugs among students in the province to prevent their circulation in schools," South Sumatra Culture and Education Office Chief Widodo remarked here on Wednesday.
He said the local Education Office has cooperated with the local National Narcotics Agency, Social Department, and anti-drugs ambassadors to raise awareness among the students.
According to Widodo, counseling the students on the dangers of drugs is important, given that the current drug trafficking menace has affected the next generation.
Earlier, South Sumatra Anti-Drug Ambassador Lury Elza Alex had highlighted the importance of acquainting students with the dangers of drugs, as they are vulnerable to using them.
