Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) launched a search operation at the headquarters of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, denying entry to non-employees.

ANTARA observed that the BGN office had been heavily guarded by police and military personnel since 8 a.m. local time. Most employees encountered on the premises refused to provide statements to the media.

As of midday, BGN had issued no clarification regarding the search. A security guard told reporters that several senior officials were attending an event featuring Tony Robbins, a motivational speaker from the United States, in Bogor, West Java.

Earlier, AGO confirmed to ANTARA that a search was underway at the BGN office in the morning.

Head of AGO’s Center for Legal Information Mochamad Jeffry explained that the operation was carried out by the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes.

However, he refrained from divulging further details regarding the search.

The AGO operation took place less than 24 hours after President Prabowo Subianto dismissed Dadan Hindayana from his position as BGN head, replacing him with Naniek Sudaryati Deyang, who previously served as deputy head for public communication and investigation.

Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi, concurrently serving as the president’s spokesperson, announced the shake-up at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta.

“On this day, Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Mr. President decided to carry out changes in the leadership of the National Nutrition Agency,” he stated.

Meanwhile, two other deputy heads in BGN, Lodewijk Pusung and Sony Sonjaya, were replaced by Agustina Arumsari and Major General Trenggono, respectively.

Hadi explained that the leadership overhaul is primarily intended to improve the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals program overseen by the agency.

He expressed hope that the new leadership would immediately initiate internal consolidation, strengthen coordination across ministries and agencies, and enhance collaboration with regional governments.
