Sukoharjo, C Java (ANTARA) - The National Police's Counterterrorism Squad, Densus 88, searched the house of a suicide bomber in Kranggan, Wirogunan Village, Kartasura Sub-district, Sukoharjo District, Central Java, on early Tuesday.

During the search, Densus 88 officers, with the assistance of their counterparts from the Central Java Provincial Police, confiscated several pieces of evidence believed to be employed in assembling a bomb.

Head of Wirogunan Village Marjono admitted to being called to witness the search of the house where Densus 88 officers had seized several pieces of evidence comprising charcoal powder, sulfur, cables, cellular phone, switch, and aluminum.

""I do not remember individually, but several goods were confiscated and placed into a large brown paper box. The police later took the box out of the house," he recalled.

The police have also sterilized the house and placed a police line around it.

Chief of the Central Java Provincial Police Inspector General Rycko Dahniel and Commander of the Diponegoro Regional Military Command Major General Mochamad Effendi witnessed the search that lasted for a half hour. They departed from the scene at around 3 a.m. local time.

No lives were lost in the incident, though only the culprit got injured.
