Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Speaker of People’s Representative Council (DPR) Puan Maharani has urged the government to immediately form an inter-ministry, inter-regional task force to tackle the coronavirus outbreak in the country. “As the Speaker, I have repeatedly asked the government to establish a national team on the coronavirus at the center for the measure to be coordinated and integrated,” Maharani said in a statement received here Wednesday.

The emergency has occurred ever since the health authority discovered local transmission of this disease. Therefore, it needs a quick response that is aligned with the World Health Organization standard protocols.
