Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Moeldoko held a meeting with US Ambassador to Indonesia Sung Y. Kim here on Friday to follow up on various agreements made during the Bali G20 Summit.

"This meeting with the US Ambassador is in line with the president's directive to form a task force in ministries to immediately follow up on various agreements in G20," he affirmed.

G20 is an international forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union that work together to handle major issues. Indonesia is holding the presidency of the grouping this year. The G20 Summit was held in Bali on November 15-16, 2022.

Earlier, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) called for forming a task force to follow up on several agreements made at the G20 Summit.

Moeldoko emphasized that his office would supervise to ensure that the directive is followed well by relevant ministries.

He noted that especially with the US, several agreements were inked between President Jokowi and US President Joe Biden during the G20 Summit, such as the development of fossil-based electric vehicles through the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) valued at US$20 billion.

"This investment commitment must be followed up quickly. To this end, the meeting with the US ambassador today is crucial," he stressed.

Apart from discussing strategic steps to follow up on the agreements made during the G20 Summit, the meeting was also aimed at strengthening the mutually beneficial relationship between Indonesia and the US.

From the various agreements made during the series of events of the G20 Summit, there were 226 multilateral projects worth US$238 billion and 140 bilateral projects valued at US$71.4 billion.

President Jokowi has called to promptly implement all projects, programs, and cooperation initiatives from the G20 Summit.
