Bengkulu (ANTARA) - The Bengkulu Regional Police will deploy 2,200 personnel to secure the locations that will be visited by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) during his visit to the province and maintain a conducive situation.

"A total of 2,200 joint personnel of Bengkulu Province's Police and resort police will be stationed at all routes and locations that will be visited by the President," Head of Public Relations for the Bengkulu Police, Senior Commissioner Anuardi, informed in Bengkulu City on Wednesday.

According to Anuardi, the personnel will be dispatched to several locations, such as Fatmawati Soekarno Airport, Kampoeng Pesisir Restaurant, Mercure Hotel, Bengkulu State Vocational High School (SMKN) 1, and Minggu Market.

The police will also station officers at Central Bengkulu SMKN 2, Sri Kuncoro Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung Toll Road, Kepahiang District Public Hospital, Kepahiang Market, and Kepahiang district head's official residence.

In addition, the personnel will secure North Bengkulu and Seluma Districts, specifically Kerkap-Tanjung Agung Road, Purwodadi Market, Argamakmur Market, Sukaraja Sub-district Integrated Service Post (Posyandu), and Tenangan Rawasari Road.

President Widodo and First Lady Iriana arrived at Fatmawati Soekarno Airport at 3:15 p.m. local time on Wednesday on board the Presidential Aircraft.

On Thursday (July 20), the head of state is scheduled to inaugurate the 17.6-km Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung Toll Road and directly monitor stunting cases handling and review the condition of the province's infrastructures.

According to a statement issued by the press bureau of the Presidential Secretariat here on Wednesday, on the flight to Bengkulu, Widodo and First Lady Iriana were accompanied by State Secretary Minister Pratikno and Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.

Presidential Military Secretary, Rear Admiral Hersan, and Presidential Security Guard Commander, Major General Rafael Granada Baay, also joined the entourage.
