"The goal of the DHTS 2025-2029 is to ensure the program or the movement is sustained and continues to achieve its ultimate goal, namely improving public health," Head of Health Innovation Ecosystem at the ministry's Digital Transformation Office Patota Tambunan remarked.
Tambunan made the statement in a video podcast on health technology transformation followed online here on Wednesday.
He noted that the DHTS 2025-2029 is essential to integrate the standard of data, technology, and infrastructure of digital health transformation that is currently being developed by the ministry that is facing several challenges.
Tambunan noted that building public trust in health technology is currently a challenge that should be faced.
Hence, to this end, his side guarantees the security of public data with international standards ISO 27001 concerning information security and ISO 27799 concerning health information.
Tambunan noted that the health ministry is cooperating with the communication and informatics ministry as well as other private parties in terms of the infrastructure.
"We are also cooperating to provide a health technology system, both for health facilities and the community directly, as well as in training medical personnel and health workers," he stated.

He expressed hope that all stakeholders in the health sector would support and promote health technology transformation efforts that are currently being promoted.
"Thus, indeed, what we want to highlight here is that DHTS will not only belong to the Ministry of Health but will (also) become a guide for everyone, and we are open to collaboration," he affirmed.
To develop health technology transformation in Indonesia, the Ministry of Health is collaborating with several parties.
One of the parties is the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change to help align health technology transformation with the national development roadmap and prepare a future healthcare system that is more in line with the developments of health trends.
Manager of Digital and Technology at Tony Blair Institute Indonesia, Willy Limiady, stated that other countries are also facing challenges like Indonesia, where sustainable development goals (SDGs) direct various aspects that are implemented to become inclusive.
"The biggest challenge, of course, is how we make this more equitable. How to make equal access to digital health services, not only at the urban community level but (also) down to the village community level," he stated.
To make health technology transformation run maximally, he expressed hope that the Health Ministry and all stakeholders would align the health technology transformation efforts with the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).
