He said the peak of the reverse flow is projected to occur on Sunday (April 14) or Monday (April 15).
"We can expect to witness heavy road traffic on Sunday or Monday. Therefore, I suggest that people join the return flow tomorrow instead of on Sunday or Monday," he remarked in Tangerang, Banten, on Friday.
Sumadi then emphasized that the government had taken measures for ensuring smooth return flow on air and sea routes.
"We have prepared strategies to deal with the return flow in a detailed manner. We have air and sea routes practically under control," he revealed.

He further noted that the Ministry of Transportation had mapped out several locations likely to host heavy traffic during the Eid return flow, such as roads in Solo, Semarang, and Cirebon.
"I am planning to visit Solo to check (traffic) developments there before heading to Semarang and Cirebon. There are two points that require special attention, including the routes along the Kalikangkung Toll Road (Semarang) and Salatiga and a route connecting Bandung and Jakarta," he stated.
The minister also appealed to Eid travelers to pick only official and credible travel agents to minimize the potential of accidents, such as the incident at KM 58 of the Cikampek Toll Road in which 12 people lost their lives.
"Do not insist on relying on unofficial travel agents to travel. If we find those traveling with such agents, we might force them to turn around," he remarked.
