Nothing is final yet.Jakarta (ANTARA) - The list of Prabowo-Gibran Cabinet ministers that is currently doing the rounds of the media is speculative, deputy chair of the executive board of Prabowo's Great Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, has said.
"I ensure that the list that is circulating right now is not fixed. It is not from official sources," he underlined at the parliamentary complex here on Thursday.
Ahmad made the statement in response to reports that Sugiono, the current deputy chair of Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR), will be foreign affairs minister in Prabowo's government.
He emphasized that the composition of ministers in Prabowo's administration is still being worked on.
"Nothing is final yet," he said.
Rumors that Sugiono will be the foreign affairs minister for 2024–2029 grew after he led the last meeting of the DPR's Commission I with the incumbent minister Retno Marsudi on Thursday.
"I do not know about that, please ask the person concerned," Ahmad said in response to the rumors.
He also did not confirm reports stating that Sri Mulyani Indrawati, the current finance minister, will hold the same portfolio in Prabowo's Cabinet.
"I cannot answer that because we have not determined anything," he said.
He informed that Indrawati and Finance Deputy Minister II Thomas Djiwandono met Prabowo often to discuss the state budget (APBN).
"With the approval of President Joko Widodo, Mr. Prabowo often brainstorms with Indrawati and Djiwandono. During that time, they brainstormed about the state budget and the State Budget Law (UU APBN)," he said.
On September 9, 2024, the minister posted several pictures of her meeting with Prabowo and Djiwandono on her Instagram handle @smindrawati.
The caption said that the meeting was held to apprise the President-elect of the ongoing implementation of the state budget and its details.
