Acting Director General of Immigration, Yuldi Yusman, said that this achievement reflects the international community's trust in Indonesia's investment climate.
"The Indonesian Golden Visa is one of the Immigration's flagship programs, expected to support national economic growth. This aligns with immigration's role as a facilitator of community welfare development," Yusman remarked on Friday.
Besides aiming for an increase in investment value, the issuance of Golden Visas also contributed Rp12.96 billion (US$754 thousand) in Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) as of September 23, 2025, he added.
According to Yusman, Golden Visa holders come from 61 countries, where the diverse nationalities show that investing and residing in Indonesia using a Golden Visa offers convenience and is a distinct attraction for foreign nationals.
He mentioned that the largest investment contribution came from foreign companies establishing subsidiaries or branches in Indonesia, amounting to nearly Rp46.5 trillion (US$2.7 billion), or approximately 96 percent of the total investment.
Meanwhile, investment from individual investors in Indonesia reached Rp249.3 billion (US$1.4 million), while investment by other Golden Visa holders reached Rp1.45 trillion (US$84 million).
Launched in July 2024, the Indonesian Golden Visa is a residence permit granted to certain categories of foreign nationals, such as investors, foreigners with specialized skills, world figures, and former Indonesian citizens and their descendants.
Golden Visas are valid for five to 10 years, with several benefits, including priority access to airport lanes, ease of immigration services, and legal certainty for investing and working in Indonesia.
“The realization of the Golden Visa up to September 2025 shows Indonesia’s growing appeal to investors and global talent. We expect this positive momentum to keep contributing to national development and reinforcing the economy,” Yusman concluded.
