Mejene, West Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Vice President Boediono was moved after receiving a letter from Satriana, an elementary school student in Majene District, West Sulawesi Province, Saturday.

In the letter, which had been prepared since two weeks ago, Satriana briefly explained about her goal to become a doctor but she was very much concerned because the facility and infrastructure available in the province were far from adequate for her to chase her dream.

The vice president on the occasion kissed the student`s forehead and tears were seen in his eyes.

In the dialog with the local students and teachers, Boediono acknowledged the education access was not evenly distributed throughout Indonesia.

"But, it could be solved among other things with the support of the internet network," he said adding that the internet could also boost the children`s knowledge and insight.

However, direct contacts between students and children would make the education process more effective, the vice president said.

Among those present during the dialog were National Education Minister Muhammad Nuh, Public Works Minister Djoko Kirmanto, Least Developed Region Development Minister Helmy Faizal Zainy and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Bayu Khrisnamukti.

After the dialog, the vice president visited the Education Quality Insurance Institution (LPMP) in West Sulawesi.
