Madiun, East Java (ANTARA News) - An Indonesian migrant worker hailing from East Java district of Madiun, identified as Nur Rohman, 33, died in work accident in Malaysia on Tuesday (April 19), an official of local manpower office has said.

Nur Rohman died after his head was pulled by his headband into the stone grinding machine in his work place, said Suyadi, head of Placement, Training, and Labor Productivity affairs of Madiun Manpower and Transmigration office here on Saturday.

His body, after arriving in his hometown early Saturday in unopened shroud, was directly buried in public cemetery at his village. His family looked very shock on the accident.

The Madiun Manpower and Transmigration office expressed promise to help deal with the victim`s rights from the company where Nur Rohman worked in the neighboring country.

According to Slamet Harianto, one of the victim`s neighbours, Nur Rohman had worked in Malaysia for 11 years through private channel or using a Calling Visa.

Nur Rohman was survived by his wife, Rani and a three-year old child.

In addition to Nur Rohman, a house maid identified as Binti Isnaini,45, hailing from Madiun village of Sewulan, Dagangan sub-district, died in Taiwan on March 30 after suffering illness.(*)
