Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A new political party that will support former finance minister Sri Mulyani as president plans to register itself with the ministry of law and human rights on Wednesday.

"The SRI Party leaders will come to the law and human rights ministry at 2pm on Wednesday (to register)," head of public relations of the Partai Serikat Rakyat (United People`s Party-SRI), Efika Rosmerie, said in a press statement received by ANTARA here on Tuesday.

Efika said SRI Party already had executive committees in all 33 provinces in the country and was continuing to prepare itself to meet all the requirements for the verification process until August 22, 2011 at the latest.

The new party`s chief, D Taufan, expressed optimism the party would pass the verification process which he considered as very tight.

"With all the limitations that we have we are convinced we can fulfill all the requirements," he said.

He said the desire of the public for a change and its interest in Sri Mulyani Indrawati had made his optimism not dwindling.

The party`s national secretary post is held by Yoshi Erlina while its treasurer is Susy Rizky Wiyantini.

Among the members of the advisory board are A Rahman Toleng, Arbi Sanit, Fikri Jufri, Rocky Gerung and Dana Iswara. (*)
