Bogor, West Java (ANTARA News) - Two command posts have been prepared in Bogor and Sukabumi districts to help search for the missing Sukhoi Superjet-100 airplane that reportedly lost contact during a demonstration flight at the top of Mount Salak, West Java on Wednesday (May 9).

Head of the Indonesian Red Cross Bogor chapter, Abidin confirmed about preparation of the two command posts, adding that Mount Salak is located between Bogor and Sukabumi districts in West Java province.

Earlier, the Indonesian Red Cross Chairman M. Jusuf Kalla also instructed an immediate search operation for the missing aircraft, after receiving the news about the ill-fated plane.

"We are ordered to be full alert and has just received a direct instruction from Jusuf Kalla," Head of Bogor PMI Headquarters, Abidin told ANTARA.

Abidin said further that they also prepared seven ambulances and four helicopters.

A Sukhoi Super Jet 100 were reported to experience lost contact during a flight demonstration over the Mount Salak on Wednesday at 14:50 pm.

The National Search and Rescue (SAR) agency will continue to coordinate the search process of the plane (T.A050/B003)
