Jayapura, Papua (ANTARA News) - The Jayawijaya police office has named six suspects who were involved in the Pirime police sector station attacks.

These attacks happened on Tuesday (November 27).

Adjunct Senior Commissioner Gede Sumesta, spokesperson for the Papua Police office said that the six suspects are KW (40), LK (22), TW (24), GK (35), DTT (45) and TT (17).

These individuals have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of three police officers at the Pirime Police sector station.

They were arrested in the Muaragame village of Pyramid District on Thursday (November 29). The police also managed to get hold of the documents related to the Free Papua Movement (OPM).

The suspects have been detained in the Papua Provincial Police Station (polda) for further investigation.

There is a possibility that the police will name more suspects after their investigation. "Let`s wait for the outcome of the investigation," said Gede Sumerta.

Around ten people attacked the Pirime police sector office at 5am, on Tuesday.

The attackers were equipped with firearms, and they burnt the office.

As a result, three police officers were killed - Briptu Daniel Makuker, Brigadier Jepri Rumkorem and Pirime Sector Station Chief, Ipda Rofli Takubesi.
