Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Budi Gunadi Sadikin was named new president director of Bank Madiri in an annual general meeting of shareholders here on Tuesday replacing Zulkifli Zainal who has ended his term of office.

Budi Gunadi Sadikin was formerly the bank`s director of micro and retail banking.

He would be in the post until the next annual general shareholders` meeting in 2016 and after receiving confirmation from Bank Indonesia following a fit and proper test.

"This is a big mandate and at the same time heavy task as I have to follow the brilliant achievement former chiefs Pak Agus (Agus Martowardojo) and Pak Zulkifli," Budi said.

He said along with other directors and more than 30,000 staff members he would make the bank the best bank in Indonesia and Asia.

The shareholders in the meeting also name two new directors namely Ogi Prastomiyono and Heri Gunardi and three new commissioners namely Agus Suprianto, Rudi Rubiandini and Abdul Aziz. (*)
