Nusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA News) - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) fully supports the government`s policy to raise the prices of subsidized fuels, the party`s former president said.

"The meeting of the party`s executive board two days ago decided that the PKS faction (in the House of Representatives) and the party executive board must not stand against something which serve public interests, such as cash handout and subsidized rice for the poor," PKS former president Tifatul Sembiring who is also communication and information minister said here on Friday.

Tifatul said he has never been at odds with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. No ministers in any other country differ with their president about something, he said.

He believed the PKS will not change the latest stance and will remain part of the six-party coalition government.

"The stance adopted at the last meeting remains unchanged. The party continues to be part of the coalition. The question of PKS ministers in the cabinet is the prerogative of the President. No envoy from the state palace has asked PKS to leave the joint secretariat. We fully leave the matter to the President," he said.

What is clear, PKS fully supports the government`s policy to raise the prices of subsidized fuels, he said.

"We are still solid in the coalition," he said.
