Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) has partnered with the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) to accelerate digital transformation in business licensing.
The partnership was formalized in a memorandum of understanding signed on August 21, Kadin said in a statement on Friday.
PANRB Minister Rini Widyantini said digital transformation is a key part of strengthening governance.
"The ministry plays a major role in governance, one of which is building digital transformation. The ministry is also the Coordinating Chair for Electronic-Based Government and part of the Government Digital Transformation Committee," she noted.
She added that collaboration with Kadin would accelerate public services while improving convenience for businesses and the public.
"The main goal is to simplify services. One of the most effective ways is through digital transformation. Together with Kadin, we can support and collaborate with each other," she said.
The partnership will begin with the formation of a joint working group between the ministry and Kadin.
Kadin Chairman Anindya Bakrie said the ministry's digital transformation targets align with Kadin's priorities, including investment, downstreaming, food security, health, and education.
"The ultimate goal is to reduce poverty," he remarked.
He added that the cooperation is not only about digital transformation within the ministry but also within Kadin, whose network extends to the district and city levels.
"For businesses to succeed in trade and investment, they need full support from an efficient, productive, and progressive government. That is what the Ministry of PANRB is building," he said.
