Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) reaffirmed its commitment to promoting government-business synergy through the "Indonesia Incorporated" concept.

Kadin Chairperson Anindya Bakrie, in his written statement on Saturday, stated that as a government partner, Kadin is committed to supporting programs aimed at achieving prosperity for the people and the target of eight percent economic growth.

President Prabowo Subianto also encouraged Kadin to support the "Indonesia Incorporated" concept to help realize a prosperous and just Indonesia, as mandated by the Constitution, he stated.

The president's endorsement of the concept was conveyed in his remarks on Friday when he bid farewell to 230 Kadin executives at the central and regional levels before their military-style retreat at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java, on August 8-10, 2025.

In his remarks, the president stressed that no Indonesian should live below the poverty line. He encouraged middle- and large-scale enterprises to empower micro- and small-sized enterprises and impoverished people to enable them to achieve self-sufficiency.

Prabowo also reminded Kadin executives not to focus solely on themselves or their businesses but also to contribute to lifting people out of extreme poverty.

Calling the president's message "inspiring," Bakrie expressed his gratitude for President Prabowo's willingness to receive Kadin members at his residence and share his message with them.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated on Friday that the president welcomed and presented his remarks to Kadin members upon the invitation of Kadin Chairperson Bakrie at the president's residence in Hambalang, Bogor District, West Java.

Wijaya said the activity is expected to reaffirm the synergy between the government and the business world in advancing national development amid global challenges.

He also elucidated that the purpose of the Kadin retreat at the Military Academy is to "nurture discipline, nationalism, tenacity, knowledge, and national outlook for participating Kadin executives and private business leaders representing various sectors."

The meeting between the president and Kadin executives was attended by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, and Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani.
