“We all agree that economic resilience is vital for national security. Therefore, we must foster nationalism, patriotism, and a strong sense of national identity,” Anindya said during a briefing on the 2025 Kadin Retreat in Jakarta on Friday.
To strengthen the national outlook of its members, Kadin is organizing the 2025 Kadin Retreat in collaboration with the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).
The event, held from Friday to Sunday (August 8–10), takes place at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java. It is attended by 200 business leaders, including prominent figures such as Chairul Tanjung (CT Corp), James Riady (Lippo Group), Hashim Djojohadikusumo (Arsari Group), and Franky Widjaja (Sinar Mas Group).
According to Anindya, participants are being flown to Magelang aboard two Hercules aircraft and were scheduled to be seen off by President Prabowo Subianto at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport at 2:00 PM local time.
In addition to Lemhannas, the retreat features sessions and discussions with several high-ranking government officials, including Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Trade Minister Budi Santoso, and Investment and Downstreaming Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani, who also serves as CEO of Danantara Indonesia.
Anindya said that the presence of these government officials provides an opportunity for Kadin members to gain deeper insight into the government’s economic agenda while also offering constructive input from the business community.
“The government and Kadin are equal partners. So, the more we understand the government’s vision, the better we can support it,” he added.
He also pointed out that Indonesia’s economy is facing increasing challenges due to global geopolitical and geo-economic uncertainties. In light of these conditions, he stressed the need for stronger business resilience to safeguard national economic stability.
“The current economic climate is indeed tough, which is why we need greater resilience to overcome these challenges—and seize the opportunities that lie ahead,” Anindya said.
