Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto urged Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) unit commanders to deliver tangible benefits to the people, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said.
Teddy said the directive was delivered during a closed-door briefing attended by 1,500 TNI unit commanders from the Army, Navy, and Air Force at the Defense University in Bogor, West Java, on Thursday.
"Be present by delivering tangible benefits and impacts to the people," he quoted the president as saying in Jakarta.
He added that Prabowo described unit commanders as the nation's frontline who interact directly with the public.
The briefing was followed by a question-and-answer session with participants.
Teddy said several senior officials attended the event, including Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and State Secretariat Minister Prasetyo Hadi.
Several ministers also delivered presentations on government programs, including food and energy security, regional inflation control, the free meals program, disaster mitigation, and village cooperative initiatives.
The event, titled the 2026 Roll Call of TNI Unit Commanders, began on Wednesday.
