Several people from those provinces have been gathering in Central Sulawesi since the past week ..."Parigi (ANTARA News) - Scores of people from the provinces of Gorontalo as well as North, South, and West Sulawesi have flocked to Parigi Moutong district in Central Sulawesi to witness Sail Tominis main event on September 19, 2015.
"Several people from those provinces have been gathering in Central Sulawesi since the past week merely to witness the main event of Sail Tomini that will be inaugurated by President Joko Widodo," Burhan, a community figure of Parigi Moutong district, noted here on Tuesday.
Burhan remarked that the people have rented houses belonging to the local community for the next couple of days to witness the main event of the international maritime event at Kayubura beach in Parigi Moutong.
According to Burhan, Sail Tomini indeed has a positive impact on the economy of the local community.
Yenny, a woman from Manado, North Sulawesi, said she came to Parigi Moutong with her husband and two children to watch the sailing pass and yacht parade.
"We have been here for three days, and we will stay until after Sail Tominis main event is over," Yenny stated, adding that Sail Tomini has attracted significant attention from the people outside Central Sulawesi.
