"It is true that they were flown to Jakarta from Mutiara Sis Al Jufri Airport in Palu today," chief of supervision and action section of the Palu immigration office Sunaryo said.
From Soekarno-Hatta Airport west of Jakarta, the four Chinese nationals will later be deported to their country, he said.
"I myself will accompany them from Palu to Jakarta by flight at 11.00 a,m, local time," he said.
The four are among the five Chinese nationals deported for violating immigration law. One Chinese national was deported to his country two weeks ago.
The Chinese nationals who worked for a gold mining company in Buol district, Central Sulawesi, were arrested for having no passports and work permits.
"They should have held work permits issued by the Manpower Ministry," he said.
Security officers arrested the Chinese nationals after receiving a tip-off from residents living near the gold mining site in the district, he said.
Last month, the immigration authorities also deported eight Chinese nationals for similar offenses.
They were arrested as they were about to leave for Jakarta, he said.(*)
