The soldiers will be drafted from regional military commands, a spokesman for the TNI information center, Colonel Berlin G, said on Tuesday.
He said the Bukit Barisan Regional Military Command I will field 6,503 personnel, including 2,601 personnel for North Sumatra province, 1,641 for West Sumatra province, 811 for Riau province and 1,450 for Riau Islands province.
The Sriwijaya Regional Military Command II will station 3,804 personnel, comprising 766 personnel for Jambi province, 886 for South Sumatra province, 705 for Bengkulu province, 1,115 for Lampung province and 332 personnel for Bangka Belitung province.
The Siliwangi Regional Military Command III in West Java province will deploy 1,890 personnel, the Diponegoro Regional Military Command IV will field 2,474 personnel, including 2,246 for Central Java and 228 personnel for Yogyakarta province.
The Brawijaya Regional Military Command V in East Java province will field 2,090 personnel, and the Udaya Regional Military Command IX will station 2,200 personnel, including 600 personnel for Bali province, 700 for West Nusa Tenggara province and 900 personnel for East Nusa Tenggara province.
The Tanjungpura Regional Military Command XII will deploy 1,705 personnel, with 1,085 personnel being for West Kalimantan province and 620 for Central Kalimantan province.
The Mulawarman Regional Military Command VI will station 3,100 personnel, consisting of 1,755 personnel for South Kalimantan province, 675 for East Kalimantan province and 670 for North Kalimantan province.
The Wirabuana Regional Military Command VII will deploy 4,249 personnel, including 500 personnel for North Sulawesi province, 1,100 for Central Sulawesi province, 1,460 for South Sulawesi province, 625 for Southeast Sulawesi province, 474 for West Sulawesi province and 90 personnel for Gorontalo province.
The Patimura Regional Military Command XVI will field 1,827 personnel, comprising 839 personnel for Maluku province and 988 personnel for North Maluku province.
The Cendrawasih Regional Military Command XVII will mobilize 2,218 personnel, comprising 1,674 personnel for Papua province and 544 personnel for West Papua province.
In addition, the Jakarta Regional Military Command will send 300 personnel to help secure a mayoral election in the capitals southern outskirts of Depok.
"As many as 1,800 reserve soldiers will be on standby, including 600 personnel from Kostrad (the Armys Strategic Reserve Command), 300 from Kopassus (the Armys special elite force), 300 from the marine corps, 300 from Korpaskhas (the Air Forces special force) and 300 personnel from the Iskandar Muda Regional Military Command," he said.(*)
