It was earlier reported that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was ill.
"The President is fine. He met with me. We talked for quite a long time over lunch," Jusuf said after the meeting.
The Vice President was scheduled to meet with the President Director of BPJS Manpower, Elvyn G Masassya, at 2 pm, but because he was called by the President for a meeting, the appointment with Elvyn was postponed.
Jusuf said there was nothing special discussed at the meeting with the President, but issues, such as the cabinet reshuffle.
Although he has not been in a good shape for the past few days, he was still working at his office as usual.
The presidential communication team member, Ari Dwipayana, said in a press statement that the President at present was working from the Merdeka Palace.
"Indeed, he is not fine, but he has continued with his activities as usual," he said.
Ari added that certain state duties needed full attention from the President.
President Jokowi as he is also called also received the Presidential Advisory Council members on Thursday, got reports from ministers and continued monitoring the post-election situation.
He also cancelled his plan on Thursday to attend the 2015 Anti-Corruption Festivals main event in Bandung, West Java, and was represented by Coordinating Minister for Political, Law and Security Affairs, Luhut Pandjaitan.
"Mr. President tried until the last minute to attend the event, but he could not make it and has offered his apology as he was not in good shape," Luhut noted while reading out a written statement from the President.
In his written statement read out by the Security Minister, President Jokowi said collective efforts by all parties were needed to fight corruption in Indonesia as this reprehensible practice cannot be curbed by just one agency.
"Through collective efforts, we can combat corruption as it cannot be addressed by one institution alone. Therefore, we invite all citizens and other concerned parties to jointly fight corruption," the President stated.
The Anti-Corruption Festival was attended by other important figures, such as Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) acting Chairman Taufiqurrahman Ruki, Attorney General HM Prasetyo, Health Minister Nila Djuwita F. Moeloek, National Police Chief General Badrodin Haiti, DPD Chairman Irman Gusman, West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan, and Bandung Mayor M. Ridwan Kamil.(*)
